The right to vote in Swedish elections for immigrants

First things first: yes, you can vote in Swedish elections even before you become a citizen. Not in all elections, and possibly not on the first day you arrive, but yes. So if you get some mail from Valmyndigheten, don't throw it out; if you're paying taxes here, you might be interested in how they're spent, and elections are a way to influence that.

Voter turnout in the latest Swedish election (2022) was 84,21%.
