How to make friends in Sweden as an adult

Despite their international reputation as reserved and hard to get close to, Swedes are people, and people enjoy friendship. There wouldn't be a fresh “how do I make friends” thread on the main Swedish subreddit every week if the “cold, reserved, don't want anyone new in their lives” libel was factually correct.
