Comparison of services for digital årsredovisning

This article will be mostly useful for people with a Swedish limited company (aktiebolag, AB) which is a smaller business, like a one-person consultancy with long-running contracts. Such a ‘simple’ AB doesn't really warrant paying tons of money to an accountant, but there are details to figure out in the generally straightforward process of running a simple AB.

One of these details is årsredovisning, the yearly report sent to Bolagsverket. Somewhat unusually, sending it in digitally is not as simple as uploading a file; instead you have to use one of the private actors who charge anywhere between 495kr and 1690kr. The good news is that by going through the websites of all twenty actors listed by Bolagsverket as authorized to do this, I've found one (just one) that actually lets you do it for free.

Luckily some of them allow to first create the årsredovisning and then pay at the very end, when it's ready to be sent, so I didn't have to pay multiple times to make my little comparison test.
